Insured Person: An individual whose life and health are covered under the Insurance Contract. The insured can also be the Beneficiary.
Insurance buyer: organization or individual that enters into an insurance contract with an insurance company and pays insurance premiums. Insurance buyer can be the Insured or the Beneficiary at the same time. The insurance buyer can only buy insurance for the following people: a) Insurance buyer himself; b) Spouse, child, father, mother of the insurance buyer; c) Siblings, people in foster care relationships; d) Other people, if the policyholder has insurable interests.
Beneficiary: An organization or individual designated by the insurance buyer to receive insurance compensation under an insurance contract.
Accident: any sudden, unforeseen event, caused by a visible external force, impacting Insured Person's body, occurring during the insurance period and being the cause that directly results in bodily injury or death to Insured Person and occurs beyond Insured Person's control.
Competent state agency: Is the competent state agency of Vietnam or the host country, depending on each specific case. Except where in these Insurance Policy Wording or in the Insurance Contract, it is specifically stated that the competent state agency of Vietnam or the competent state agency of the host country.
Medical expenses: medical expenses incurred that are necessary and reasonable for the purpose of examination, diagnosis, treatment, and emergency care for Insured Person in case of illness, accident, or maternity complications according to prescribed by a doctor or urgently in an emergency situation. These costs do not exceed the general costs of medical service providers at the same level and within the same province or city where those costs arise.
Medical expenses under this Insurance Policy include medical expenses incurred within 90 days from the date of Insured Person's physical injury or illness paid to doctors, hospitals, and services. emergency services related to medical treatment, surgery, X-rays, hospitalization, patient care, costs of medical supplies, ambulance rental (including dental treatment costs, if dental treatment is necessary for treatment caused by an accident).
Trip: Means the journey undertaken by Insured Person and covered under this Policy. The trip begins when Insured Person completes the security check to leave the international departure place in Vietnam to arrive at the destination abroad and ends when the security check is completed at the destination, international destination in Vietnam or at the end of 24 hours on the last day of the insurance period, whichever comes first.
Insurance Contract Owner: Is the Insurance Purchaser or the individual or organization that legally represents the Insurance Purchaser entering into an Insurance Contract with HD Insurance. The insurance policyholder is an individual who must be 18 years of age or older.
Insurance plan: the part that shows the insurance benefits selected by the Policyholder/Insured in the insurance benefits table and clearly stated in the Insurance Certificate.
